Bianchi Specialissima RC wins the Design & Innovation Award

The next-generation all-rounder Specialissima RC, designed by Bianchi Reparto Corse, has won the Design & Innovation Award, presented by German publishing house, 41publishing, for the best road bike of 2024.

The Design & Innovation Award is regarded as one of the most prestigious design awards in the cycling world and is recognized as one of the most influential distinctions in the outdoor world. The award is granted after all nominated products have undergone meticulous testing by a select team of international journalists, professional testers, and experts who dedicate more than 6,000 hours to the selection process.

The new Specialissima was evaluated as the best road bike of 2024. The jury described it like this: “the result of a consistent development process, it is an impressive final product that meets all the targeted development goals and stands out from the crowd with a clear and elegant design. In purely visual terms, the Italians rely on their unmistakable style and have freshened up the Specialissima’s design to keep up with the times, weighing in at just 6.65 kg. They added, “Except for the tires, drivetrain, and brakes, Bianchi supplies all the components, which are specifically tailored to the bike’s racing genes. With the Specialissima RC, Bianchi has delivered a complete, self-contained and coherent speed concept for professional athletes and ambitious hobby racers.”

The bike’s aesthetics were also recognized, thanks to their unmistakable style with a fresh and contemporary touch.
